Australian Gun Laws: The Statistics

Correction, 40 homicides in 6 months. 16 of them involve death by firearm.

I live in Edmonton. A city of 1 million people and the second most dangerous city in Canada. There are plenty of shootings here in this province even though we have strict gun control. We also have stabbings as well. Here's a breakdown from the summer of 2017 showing the breakdown so far that year. I still can't find a web page showing the complete 2017 breakdown but we had about 40 murders in 2017. I don't think the Australia laws going to really change March if you compare Canada period in Canada, there is really no curfew for teenagers and the drinking age is 18. As you can see, with that lack of enforcement, that could be a factor in some of these murders.
