Are these the same states that are going to be in charge of people's healthcare if ACA gets repealed?

There have been several studies that show raising minimum wage actually has the opposite effect from what is intended by doing so, decreasing income for those making minimum wage instead of increasing it. I do not understand why this comes as s surprise to those wishing to raise minimum wage since they are typically the same people who want to raise tobacco taxes and create soda taxes with the expressed consent of increasing the price so less people purchase said products. If increased prices lead to less of these products being purchased how would increasing the price of wages, another type of product, not also lead to the same results? Why do they think wages are exempt from the laws of economics?

That has already been proven in cities like Seattle, where they raised the minimum wage so employers cut hours to compensate and now they bring home less money.
