As China looms large, two opposing visions face off in Taiwan's election

This is off the topic. I have been thinking how war would develop over Taiwan if China invaded it. Many people feel we would lose the war quickly, but I disagree. Our Sino-Pacific Combatant Commander has over 300,000 + US SM in a large region in the world which means there is a lot of manuever space. We will hit the Chinese military from many directions.

What people fail to understand is we are in China’s back yard. It will be infinitely easier for us to attack mainland China than them attacking our country. They know that. However, perhaps it is moot because they don’t have the resolve to gut it out with them. But do they want to take the chance?
