I find it interesting (and myopic, and hypocritical) that the author talked about the "language of force" used by the police, with nary a mention of the "language of violence" used by antifa and other leftist rioters. Probably because it doesn't fit the narrative.

This idiotic writer must not know many police officers. If any. I know and work with a ballpark of about 100 officers. Every call could be their last. So when they get a call of "suspicious person walking down the road" every single one of them prefers it to be a boring event. Not something to respond to with their vests on and guns drawn.

The language of peace. What horse crock. Protesters always have the right to peacefully assemble and protest. It is when the rights of others get infringed, your right to "free speech" needs to be checked. If your protest group blocks freeway traffic and surrounds cars during rush hour, you are no longer peacefully assembling and protesting, you are infringing upon the rights of others.
