Army officer convicted in child sex abuse trial last year still missing

This article is from 2022 but I just found out about it because a friend from an old unit asked if he was with us. Yep. I definitely served with this guy (he was prior enlisted) and was friends with him but haven't talked to him in years.

Basically his daughter accused him of sexual assault. He was allowed leave prior to his court martial because he had a "stellar record" and of course disappeared prior to court martial. He was tried in absentia.

Huachuca is not far from Mexico at all. So he is either in Mexico hiding out. Or he died on the way crossing through the mountains. I heard stories in AIT during the FTX we do at the end for 35F that classes had run into immigrants crossing through or one class found a body.

I can't believe this wasn't all over the news. Or that his commander gave him leave.
