Well, I left with 1500 saves!!! As a Dustoff, Medical Evacuation, pilot. I risked my life many more times than I can remember.
Dustoff and Medevac pilots got zero recognition for their accomplishments.
He killed and we saved, is there a difference?

I agree Captain, you deserve the recognition as a pilot of Medevac and Dustoff. I salute you

Thanks, we got no recognition as the Army classified us as just doing our job. Yea, right, risky our lives every day was just our job. I know that saving those lives is a reward that few get, and I know it was a fine reward, but we never got to know any of the ones we saved. That kinda of leaves an empty feeling, because normally when you save someone, at least you get to visit them and you normally may become friends, but not Dustoff. We never meet the ones we saved, never get a progress report, and never get any acknowledgment for saving them. We just go out and save another stranger, risking our life all over again.
