Its his money like it or not. Train your Soldiers to not be like him and move on from the crying and unprofessionalism. We have things to fix!

He's not entitled to anything except a bullet. He should have been executed.

He should have been classified AWOL first and a deserter after 30 days with all pay and allowances frozen. Should never been promoted and allowed to wear SGT stripes

Unfortunately, the presiding judge, Col. Jeffrey Nance may have cleared the way with his "Lack" of a sentence in the case.

@Capt Corey Booker, in the Command Sargent Major's official testimony, he clarified that those deaths occurred after the 45 day search was suspended. By that point, they knew Bergdahl was in Pakistan, and the unit was not able to leave their area of operations to continue the search. So they returned to their duties assigned, and as the CSM said, they were "in a bad neighborhood" where any of them could die at any point. In his opinion, there was no way that any deaths could be attributed to Bergdahl's absence, desertion, or subsequent search.

Let's hope the families of the soldiers who have been hurt and killed could get some of this money via a Civil Lawsuit.

They can not, sadly you can not sue for injuries that occur on active duty, and the military does not want to open that can of worms.

I don’t think that’s how it works. You can’t sue a POW because your family member died doing their military duty. No matter how big of a piece of shit that POW is.
