This is where it gets harry, for active duty people here on RP too. Where the LTC may be getting himself into trouble was making it clear he was in the military then posting political content on Facebook.
I'm just glad that I was in long before any social media and the only thing around were BBSs. It's got to be hard for people on active duty to keep their military life and political thoughts separate in a world where the norm is for everyone to share every silly idea that comes into their heads.

MAJ Javier Rivera - I'd be amazed if it were used for political commentary as the problem is the appearance of political bias in the military and anyone who is retired should no longer face that obstacle. Such a case being brought by the military itself would likely be seen as the military exerting political bias.
