Anybody think the Skipper of the Roosevelt wouldn't be fired?
Skipper pleads for help. Instead of using a secure and "eyes only approach", he used an insecure method and cc'd a pile of people. Besides the problem on the Roosevelt, he created a huge PAO problem that the same people who are there to help, now have to be distracted by the media and political aspects. Classic "loss of confidence" firing. I had my gripes with my Flags, but it was always private. Didn't make Flag because of it, but just kept doing the right thing. Doing the right thing the wrong way typically spells a quick end to the career.
