Criminal case against Alec Baldwin is now dismissed as of July 2024. The reasons are alleged coverup of relevant ammunition in the case by sheriff’s office and failure by prosecuting lawyers to disclose evidence.

Disgusting.
Not that Baldwin got off; but that prosecutors withheld and mishandled evidence.
This is exactly the type of thing that causes people to lose faith in the justice system. We *should* be able to believe that folks who are convicted were convicted justly, and folks who were acquitted were acquitted because they were innocent.
This case puts BOTH assumptions in jeopardy.
