The AF and other AFs are still suffering from the caving effects of PC heaped on them by the outgoing POTUS and his liberalista cohorts. It will take a long time to reverse all the social and cultural changes and experimentations foisted on the services. This current AF tattoo policy reversal is only one of the latest symptomatic reactions to these horrible policies. Disgraceful and disgusting to say the least..

To be clear I am not against tattoos on anyone. The gvt is an employer land has the right to set dressd and behavior policies for 'good order' including such as tats and other adornments. I just don't think the armed forces should be used to further political and social agendas. Wondering if back during WWII the gvt filtered out people with certain tattoos, or just drafted everyone wholesale regardless of tats? As many have said tats do not the soldier make, ithat quality comes from within.

Sgt Kelli Mays, That's remarkable. When I was in, and got my tattoo, I had to hide it, and hope it didn't get infected. I could have received an Article 15 or worse. That's was one little tattoo.

I have a tat that I did myself in front of the DS when I was in AIT. He didn't say a word, only put on my first 2 initials.

I have two tats, as long as the tats are not distracting, or overly gaudy , no problem, also as long as they are not showing.
