Air Force may adopt Army’s ‘MultiCam’ uniform, documents say

Can we all just get on the same page? How much money is dumped into the aether every 5-10 years because we can't make up our minds on a single uniform? Make one standard pattern for all branches with customization options available for each branch to add whatever they want and stick with it for at least a solid 10-20 years or so. SO much money dumped into uniform indecisiveness. Also - the ACU was a complete tragedy. Running around the Middle East and who knows where else looking like computer vomit...

Stop the madness! The military is supposed to be a fighting force, not a fashion show.

Some Air Force Majcoms (such as AFSOC) have been wearing OCP daily for over a year now. Personally, I have mixed feelings about it. The OCP is great when deployed but unnecessary when stateside. Rank is really difficult to see unless you are right next to the person. The pocket locations while great when wearing a ton of gear is less than useful in a non combat environment.

The older versions are comfortable but the new versions with built in bug repellent are smelly and stiff.

I feel like it’s just another fad to make the young troops excited about deploying.
