Neither Germany or Japan neeed to be sending troops anywhere. When I saw German "peacekeepers" going to Yugoslavia I almost passed out

I think NATO has a problem in that no one can decipher US foreign policy not even ourselves.
In a 20 year span:
Libya and US credibility destroyed - collapsed state,
Syria and US credibility destroyed - way worse since we got involved,
Iraq and US credibility destroyed - way worse since we got involved,
Afghanistan and US credibility destroyed - possibly a global problem since we got involved,
Iran we haven't had any credibility since 1970's - possibly a global problem since we got involved
That's our foreign policy at work in just in one region.
I'm betting Taiwan isn't holding their breath in regards to US credibility.

U.S. foreign policy credibility on the line as Vice President ventures into South East Asia
The chaos in Kabul serves as a reminder that whenever U.S. policy has attempted to coax or cajole states with the objective of tackling rivals in the region, that policy has not been conducive to peace. Similar rhetoric may once again fall on deaf ears in Hanoi, Singapore or anywhere else in South East Asia which for the Biden administration will be another strategic loss.
