DOL Apprenticeship Builds on Amazon's Joining Forces Commitment to Hire 25,000 Veterans by 2021
Yesterday, we joined forces with the Department of Labor to announce the creation of a new Amazon Veterans Apprenticeship Program. This program will create another mechanism to train even more veterans across the country in technical skills for jobs at Amazon or elsewhere.

Since there is currently a hiring freeze across the Federal government COL Mikel J. Burroughs, it will most likely be months before the Federal government begins to hire in general.
Critical shortages will most likely be filled in the interim.
It will not hurt for veterans to submit a resume for this Apprenticeship Program with Department of Labor. In any event, it would not make sense to quit a "day job" while waiting for the Federal government to respond.
