A worsening morale crisis
Ladies and gentleman of the military, how does the majority feel about the overall morale within our military? I have always been proud of the Armed Forces and yearn to go back in the military but am not blind to the many issues our service members deal with day in and day out. Since I've gotten out of active duty I tend to wonder what's the climate like now. What's your personal take on what this article is stating? Veterans of all ages are encouraged to shed light and advice, as their word is of the utmost importance to our new generation of service members.

I'd have to agree with the AF Captain they interviewed regarding fiscal insecurity. When I was in the Guard it was normal to drop $100 on drill for gas and a bit more for food. That and E7 and above are not authorized motel rooms, you either cough up more money, find a cot in the armory, or find somewhere else to rack out. Soldiers are excellent at completing their missions. These circumstances put them in a spot where there's little they can do about it. It's a realization of expansion and contraction and it's tough every time this happens.
