PO1 William "Chip" Nagel and others here on Rally Point probably were in the earlier Arctic exercises. Russia has been sending their bear bombers for the last decade. We just scrapped the intermediate range missile treaty because the Russians have been violating it.

This is not an Expeditionary mission in my opinion. Because the US has Alaska as a state, we are an Artic Power & any mission to the Artic is just a projection of US Power. Expect the US and our allies to continue to challenge Russia in the Artic and other areas as well. The Eagle is flying high!
