This was very interesting. Think the criticism mentioned in the article that this video is receiving I find unjustified. A call for peace in that region is the ultimate message. Some folks are just nitpicking.

Thank you for the great video, too bad all bombers couldn't be dissuaded from carrying out their foul deed.

Seems like Taqiyah to me.

The video sells well to Western viewers because we want this. But I suspect its intended audience is internal. Most likely intended for Islamic nations where Sunni and Shiite are bleeding each other dry. I would caution against leaning into this and thinking that this message was also intended for 'infidels'.

I would be happy to be proven wrong. However, until Islam drives out the Jihadist and stops viewing and treating them as Mujahideen (Holy Warriors), but rather as Mustafadoon (Evil Doers). Then there will be no change.

The desire and action of change must come from within Islam. No amount of force from the West (or the East) will change Islam. Only Islam can do that.

And that change would be astonishingly difficult with respect to how Islam views and treats the rest of the world. Those who reside under the protections of the "House of the Prophet Muhammad" have a very different take on the rest of the world which resides under the "House of War".
