Seems extreme but the pendulum is now swinging from leftist Antifa riots and violence to what some people are calling righteous rage as their response.

I used to go up to Elberton to get scrap granite. The Granite mills would throw away granite with defects etc like a vain of quartz running through a piece making it unfit for monuments or memorials. I would use a hammer and chisel to “ strip out lengths of granite. I used to take my kids as a work party. I meet stone masons who worked on the guide stones, I meet another stone worker who worked on a very large memorial piece of granite with part of Eisenhower’s farewell address. It was in the main floor entry way at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta Georgia. One of the stone workers in Elberton told me the story of the guide stones. An anonymous individual commissioned a local banker to have the stones made and installed. The leading theory as to the identity of the anonymous individual was Ted Turner. I visited the guide stones and thought they were pretentious and not that impressive.
