The A-1 was certainly a powerful aircraft in close combat for troops on the ground and cover for helicopter pilots... Awesome share, Jack!!!

an A1E Skyraider coming in to cover rescue helicopter on pickup of a down pilot. Three A1E would gone in with the Jolly Green giant chopper.

These aircrafts were music to our ears when coming in to help us when we needed them for air support! They flew almost tree top level to dump their load!

SFC Chuck Martinez - We actually had some A1Es return to Da Nang that actually had pieces of tree branches hanging onto the aircraft which sure proved they came in at treetop level.
