This a great story of a man who dropped out of school during the Great Depression, and then joined the Army during WWII.
Sgt. Long, who would have graduated from Trevorton High School in 1940, dropped out of school at age 16 to start working during the Great Depression and then join the U.S. Army at age 21 to fight in World War II.

Why go on with a regret? I'm sure this gnawed at his conscience his whole life. I think it's great he went and got it.
