Deadlines soon for captains awaiting RIF boards

I am saddened to hear that some of our brightest and best officers will be forced out of the Army. It appears this goes in cycles as I had deeply wanted to be an Army nurse in 1998, but they had too many nurses. So I worked as a civilian nurse for a couple years and then joined the Air Force. I only recently discovered that making Captain is extremely competitive in nature. I fear it is too competitive.
