I was visting Madigan Army Medical center in 2009. I spoke to a soldier who had a traumatic brain injury because an enemy round had exploded nearby. He thought he was uninjured but the overpressure caused him Traumatic brain injury.
It can happen.

Gave some feedback on another post*, but the summary is that our elected officials are apparently unaware of the research programs DoD and the VA have conducted/are conducting.
I have a lot of respect for Congressmen Moran and King and many of the efforts they have accomplished in the Senate Veterans Affairs subcommittee, but this one is a bit of a head-scratcher.
My visceral reaction has nothing to do with the efforts in addressing TBI, but the bipartisan lack of awareness shown by politicians that should 'be in the know'.
