Once again we see some conservatives trying to run the government like a private business. The government is not a business. It does not need to make a profit. It only needs to do what is best for the citizenry.

The VHA has a lot of remote workers, so their proposal to slash the workforce through ending remote work will indeed impact the VHA.

I telework. I’m in the office one day a week. Same for my wife. Our oldest son uses my car to get to work and school. We drive our youngest son to school because he doesn’t have his license yet. Putting us back in the office 5 days a week will have a huge impact on us

SrA John Monette - I know a lot of people in similar situations. Plus, some people relocated to enable them to remain on the VHA team (they would have left the VHA workforce otherwise). It just seems heavy-handed to ban remote working to "improve efficiency", when they haven't shown any proof how remote working has reduced efficiency in the first place. The burden of proof should be on them before they could implement a major change like this.
