I wonder how many people will actually look at the source material and form their own opinion instead of adopting an opinion told to them because it's easier that way.

As I generally am the former rather than the later, here are some key sources I discovered after a couple of minutes of research:

• The contorversial Texas House Bill 1605 - https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/88R/billtext/pdf/HB01605F.pdf
• FAQ about the High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) and Open Education Resources (OER) mentioned in H.R. 1065 - https://tea.texas.gov/academics/instructional-materials/house-bill-1605/oer-imra-faqs.pdf
• Link to the Bluebonnet instructional material - https://tea.texas.gov/academics/instructional-materials/bluebonnet-learning

I found the 'Christian Indoctrination' stuff in the language arts modules, specifically when cultural topics surrounding the Middle Ages, Ancient Rome, and the Renaissance are covered.

Religion and politics are two of the things I never discuss in class.

Going to be some busy teachers and students.
There are well over 4,000 different religions in the world today. But for this, let's just address the 5 major religions, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism.
If we are to allow the teaching of the Christian Bible, then we must also allow the teachings of these other religions.

Islam, the Quran
Judaism, the Torah.
Hinduism, yhe Vedas
and Buddhism, Tripitaka or Pali Canon, the Tibetan Book of the Dead, the Memorial Verses on the Middle Way, the Great Stages of Enlightenment

Only fair. And perhaps within the 1st Amendment.
