SrA John Monette - Yes men perhaps, wishing to commit political suicide probably not. It is never wise to mess with people's money and anyone that tries to take from vets will find themselves losing rather quickly.

Project 2025 can be seen as two things:
1) It is a far-right wish-list
and
2) It is liberal fear-mongering
What we have to recognize is that BOTH those views are correct.
But there is one thing that Project 2025 IS NOT: It is NOT anyone's plan for action

Another point worth noting is that even if Trump supported Project 2025, there is basically nothing in it that falls within the power of the President. Some of it is simply not possible at all and the rest would require legislation through both houses of congress. Even if Republicans supported SOME of the proposals in Project 2025, they don't have a large enough majority in either house of congress to pass any extreme legislation.

Add in the GOP general lack of competent leadership in both the House and Senate as well as their long-standing misguided love of "bipartisanship" and I feel sadly confident that the 2025 and 2026 sessions of Congress will be nearly as ineffective as they were in 2017 & 2018.
