In the wake of 9/11, we recognized the urgent need for mental health services for those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Since then, we’ve proudly supported countless military members and their families, and now, we’re looking for passionate individuals to join us in that mission.
About the Military Mile Project
Our latest initiative, the Military Mile Project, is a critical effort aimed at preventing suicide among active-duty service members. Through this project, we aim to train 2,000 service members across 10 military bases, empowering them to support 6,000 of their peers. By providing trauma-informed training sessions, we equip these soldiers with the tools to break stigma, navigate tough conversations, and support their peers’ mental health and resilience.
Now Hiring: Skilled Trainer for the Military Mile Project
We are currently seeking skilled trainers to support this important work at Fort Bliss. This role will require up to 3 days per month on base, delivering trauma-informed mental health training. We’re looking for individuals with lived experience connected to the military community, who have a strong ability to connect with others and deliver impactful training sessions. No clinical background is necessary.
Key details include:
* Contract role: December 2024 - June 2025, with potential extension based on funding
* Training sessions: First week of each month, Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
* Location: Fort Bliss, Texas
* Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications
