The VA has decided not to challenge a recent court ruling that orders retroactive payments to "Blue Water Navy" Vietnam veterans and their survivors who were wrongly denied benefits for Agent Orange exposure. This decision affects veterans who served off the coast of Vietnam and were initially included in a 1991 consent decree, but had their benefits revoked in 2002. The ruling could impact 2,000 to 15,000 veterans and their families, with potential average payments of $28,000 each. The VA is prepared to process these claims and locate eligible veterans or their estate
