More than 700,000 veterans are newly enrolled in VA health care due to the 2022 PACT Act. To handle that influx of new patients, the VA's Veterans Health Administration has hired nearly 340 more psychiatrists, the second biggest category of physician hires behind primary care doctors recently made at the VA.

Very good. I've used the local Vet Center and appreciate the help that they can give. Vets are probably the toughest crowd to get into the mental health services, but almost every one of us needs something in that area. Unfortunately there are many layers to peel back before we'll admit that.
