“ and the 2021 U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan” - That was not support for the military. This was a betrayal.

trump started the catastrophe that was the Afghanistan withdrawal. Biden couldn't fix it. Our wonderful military LEADERS failed the withdrawal, not Biden.

SP5 Renee Reif No, Trump started the negotiations. Had he pulled out in such a manner, I would criticize him just the same. Biden is his own person and Harris SUPPORTED the pull out as it was executed. It was the one of the worst withdraws from combat this nations has seen and Biden did NOT have to do it. Please do not suggest he couldn’t change the plan, assuming it was Trump’s. He managed to overturn virtually all of Trump’s progress on day one and yet this one he’s going to say it was Trump’s plan/fault? That's BS and deep down you know it.

"The bill advanced by the committee endorses a 4.5% raise for service members of all ranks, in line with the Biden administration's budget request and the federal formula for calculating annual military pay raises."
"But the bill would also give E-1s through E-4s another 15% raise on top of that, meaning those troops would get a total 19.5% raise next year if the bill becomes law as is."
Other major compensation-related provisions include increasing the Basic Allowance for Housing to cover 100% of housing costs rather than the 95% it does now and expanding eligibility for the Basic Needs Allowance to help more troops facing food insecurity access the benefit."
