From your article:
Anthony Ghiotto, a former Air Force prosecutor who now teaches law at the University of Illinois, said there are several reasons why a service member could receive this type of discharge, including as a potential result of a court-martial conviction, in lieu of a court-martial proceeding, or if they commit a civilian infraction that can’t be disciplined through the military justice system.

This is would put a stop to a lot of this bullshit policing practices. And instead of the taxpayers having to foot the bill, it should start coming out of the officer's pockets as well.

SFC Jo Ann Klawitter - So a police officer tells a woman to put the pot of boiling water down. As she does so, he rips off three rounds to her head. And he should just receive a reprimand? What should it be, a couple of weeks without pay and go to a couple of classes? Or maybe a just letter of reprimand in his employee file? Well, it was passed off at first as being suicide. Until the family and several civil rights attorneys demanded to see the video.
Watch the video and realize this is what BIPOC have been living with since time immemorial.

Bodycam shows moment police fatally shot Illinois woman Sonya Massey
Bodycam shows the moment police fatally shot 36-year-old Sonya Massey, who had called authorities over concerns about a prowler at her home. Illinois State Police released bodycam video of the incident. The video has been blurred by police. NBC News has edited the video for graphic content. Sangamon County Deputy Sean Grayson was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct.

Patricia Overmeyer you need to watch your blood pressure
He should be convicted of a crime. What do you want him to hang from a tree?
