I think this should be allowed to go to court. *If* the gun companies *actually* aided and abetted the cartels, then they should be held accountable. But the bar should be VERY high. If Mexico can prove actual malfeasance - active and intentional marketing specific to cartels, direct wholesale prices to known cartelembers, or something similar - then, yes, those gun companies need to pay.

OTOH, if Mexico's claim proves fruitless, they should be on the hook for every single dime of legal fees faced by the gun companies. Plus a little bit on top for reputational harm and wasting everyone's time.

Whoexico REALLY needs to be suing is Barrack Obama in his professional capacity, Eric Holder in both his personal and professional capacity, the DoJ, and the ATF.

Let's see...
Firearms
_Legally manufactured products
_Functioning as they are supposed to
_Illegally smuggled through their border security
_Used for illegal activity.

As soon as Mexico starts paying reparations for illicit drugs.
_Illegally manufactured products
_Without quality control occasionally resulting in fatality and increasing dependence on the social welfare net our taxpayers must bear
_Illegally smuggled through our border security
_Used for illegal activity.

As soon as they [Mexico] allow us to sue the cartels, and they [Mexico] actually force the cartels to pay up.

Now, this will really get the Supremes arguing with each other Brother Dale. I really thought this would be a story from the bee, it's so comical.
