They're everywhere here in the Tampa area. I have no problem with them, but then I tend to stop at red lights. The main objection that I've seen around here is that the "ticket" isn't necessarily coming from law enforcement but rather the company that operates the cameras for the City/County.

They are all over the place in canada. You get the ticket sent to your home and if you don't pay it, You can't register All renew your driver's license. You can pay the fine and fight It in court. No points on your record. Some people would go out and put posters and protest saying 'speed trap ahead '

You'll have a fluorescent green pickup truck.Also park by schools during the daytime , so they could get you speeding even though there's no kids there during the summer.

Photo radar protest again to hit Edmonton streets
Jack Shultz, a local anti-photo radar activist, said more than 30 people volunteered to stand next to photo radar vehicles in protest.

We used to have a couple towns in Northern Florida that were infamous for speed traps funding the entire police force. Although they were small towns and red light cameras tend to be in larger cities, I can see the same financial motivation.
