The standard conservative mantra;
Parental rights!
Parental rights!
Parental rights!
Parental rights!

Opps,,, not when we believe we know better, then;
No Parental rights!

I'm just wondering if all of these folks against providing necessary medical care to children waited until they are 18 to decide if they were straight and then started any medical procedures that have been on hold since birth. Of course expecting these individuals to even understand the basics of genetics is just asking to much as they lack the intellect to do so.

I know it would surprise them that they also have triplex DNA and G-quadruplex DNA in their cells which control expression of genes. It would also surprise them that in a 37 trillion cell human body they produce several trillion mutations daily. But then again when their information source are memes and bad studies what can you expect.

Just to give you the slightest hint of genetics I've kept a simple paragraph that hopefully might cause you to think. Of course this is about the tumor suppressing gent P53 residing on chromosome 17 but it shows you what happens. Not as simple as one amino acid paired wrong in a protein that gave us sickle cell anemia in a certain population not the single wrong base pair in a protein that produced by one gene that impacted the expression of another gene that controlled the production of melanin for eye color.

Here: The p53 gene has been mapped to chromosome 17. In the cell, p53 protein binds DNA, which in turn stimulates another gene to produce a protein called p21 that interacts with a cell division-stimulating protein (cdk2). When p21 is complexed with cdk2 the cell cannot pass through to the next stage of cell division. Mutant p53 can no longer bind DNA in an effective way, and as a consequence the p21 protein is not made available to act as the 'stop signal' for cell division. Thus cells divide uncontrollably, and form tumors.

GOOD...when you are 18 have at it...up till then your brain is not mature enough to make those decisions. That is why we don't let folks enlist below the age of 18.

Then we can get back to having 10+ kids per marriage and not even giving them names until they turn 3 or 4 years old, just in case they don't make it.
