Russian submarines and warships have gone to Cuba and Canadian Navy ships were in pursuit, along with american ones. Canada even dispatched their P3 Orion equivalent. It refueled in Florida and kept eye on the russian fleet.
One of the Canadian coastal patrol ships actually came in to Havana harbor and parked next to the Russian ships. It was from a previous invitation.
