A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney They, what's left of them, still perform every year at our Strawberry Festival. Shame that venues like that have become what they're relegated to.

Yes and that's pretty normal. August, September time frame is when the Sahara dust usually goes away and Atlantic storm development cranks up.

Fun Facts:
Sahara Las Vegas is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in WINCHESTER, NEVADA. It's owned and operated by the Meruelo Group. The hotel has 1,616 rooms, and the casino contains 50,662 square feet (4,706.7 m2). The Sahara anchors the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, at the corner of Sahara Avenue.......
~~ And Most Of 'The Strip' Is Actually In The City Of "Paradise"... Las Vegas Itself, Is Better Known As "Down-Town Las Vegas"~~

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen A Saharan dust cloud is moving across the Atlantic Ocean and could soon reach Florida, according to weather forecasters, bringing hotter days, less rain, and poorer air quality. The dust cloud that's traveling toward South Florida is a mixture of sand and dust from the Sahara, a desert area that covers most of North Africa.
