Sometimes I get it right and sometimes I get it wrong. In the case of President Trump, I was totally wrong. I was wrong to dismiss him as a presidential candidate. I was. Remember the field of GOP candidates in 2015-16. For me, Donald Trump wasn't even a consideration. I only voted for him because the alternative, Hillary, was even worse by far. I would rather have an empty Oval Office than allow her back in the White House in any capacity ever again. But, he surprised me. Despite the fact that he had no support from either major party, he accomplished several very good things. The elimination of ISIS, a nascent peace process in the Middle East where none had existed in recorded history, economic growth far beyond expectations (certainly beyond those of President Obama), historically high employment among minorities (especially blacks in the Economic Advantage Zones created by President Trump and Senator Tim Scott), to name a few. And for those who dance in the streets celebrating his conviction on 34 felony counts, please name them for us. Let's be honest. You fear President Trump, quaking fear, for one reason only; he can't be bought. You would even reelect a demented criminal than vote for President Trump. Shame.
