John "Buck" O'Neil was a first baseman and player-manager for the Kansas City Monarchs from 1938–1943 and 1946–1955. My son Ken got to meet Buck, shook his hand, and got his Converse's signed. One of KC's great sports figures. Too bad he has passed now.

It is good that they finally get the same recognition. Unfortunately, most if not all of them are dead now. At least their families can see this momentous occasion. Congratulations to them. Thanks for sharing.
