Interesting? I suppose, if you're interested in intellectual critique of government and politics. The Communists certainly were. This conversation wanders off track and into the weeds when they assume that anyone in any organized political party controls or has a prescient vision of what President Trump will do if reelected. President Trump is no more a Republican than he is a Democrat. Indeed, he is closer to being a traditional Democrat (cut from the same cloth as Harry Truman) than any Republican I can think of. He is no more a conservative than he is a progressive. I'd say he's more of a liberal in the same manner I define myself a liberal (we love liberty whereas those who call themselves liberals these days hate and fear liberty). Neo-Con is a pejorative used by progressives and libertarians (yes, Libertarians are intellectuals who use the same tactics as progressives to bend others to their wills) to disparage anyone who refuses to bend to their will. Two books I would recommend to understand this discussion is Orwell's 1984 (to understand Newspeak as used here) and Rand's The Fountainhead to understand the hatred and fear of truly free people.
