Which dead horse is that?
Kansas created a law to require proof of citizenship. The courts injucted the law. Non-citizens SUCCESSFULLY registerred to vote. These are all bona fide, verifiable facts.
And the judge ruled that this was perfectly OK, and that Kansas had no authority to stop it.
I do not see a dead horse. I see a horse that is very alive - and kicking.
You asked for evidence, I provided evidence. And then you say I am beating a dead horse - for giving you the evidence YOU ASKED FOR.

The dead horse is the claim that our elections are not secure, when by a huge, overwhelming percentage, they are.

So you, then, feel like voter fraud is perfectly OK, as long as there is just A LITTLE fraud?
By that same token, we have absolutely no problem with murder in this nation. I mean, there is such a small percentage of people who are actually murdered, why worry about it, right?
(No, I know for a fact, that you do not condone just a LITTLE BIT of murder - that was hyperbole for effect. Because I cannot understand why you apparently condone just a LITTLE BIT of fraud.)
As for the trans piece, I do not think there is evidence for this.... yet. But it *does* open the door. Folks having two IDs for two identities is problematic. However, as long as people do their jobs correctly - which is an important and not guaranteed caveat - this will not happen. When registering to vote under their new identity, their old one should be automatically purged. Should be.
But, I agree, there is no evidence of this happening, and there is no need to create new rules to prevent it - as the existing rules already *do* prevent it.
(But none of the above means that requiring proof of identity AND proof of citizenship when registering to vote is a bad thing).

I have many in-laws that live on the Navajo reservation here in Arizona. Four of them have only Tribal ID, which is not acceptable for voting. They are all elderly. 3 of them have been voting most of their lives but now cannot without getting some form of state issued ID.
I find it interesting that conservatives resist government requirements but are the big advocates for this.
A solution to a non-problem.
