Students speak out on Harrison Butker's 'uncomfortable' commencement address

I am amazed that she was shocked. My first wife and I went through this discussion when we got married during her senior year and my junior year in college. We chose to have children after she graduated. I had one year left. She worked full time until I graduated. She would drop our child at a friend’s house for child care on the way to work and cry the rest of the way to work. Once I graduated I worked full time and she worked part time so one of us was the care giver to our kids. My point, nature wired us to want to be care givers to our children. Don’t underestimate those forces in your life. So it seems Education is supposed to broaden our perspective unless a conservative perspective is given. The fondest times in my life dealt with my kids. In many ways their success is mine.
