"Carl Edward Sagan, November 9, 1934 – December 20, 1996) was an American astronomer, planetary scientist, and science communicator. His best known scientific contribution is his research on the possibility of extraterrestrial life, including experimental demonstration of the production of amino acids from basic chemicals by exposure to light. He assembled the first physical messages sent into space, the Pioneer plaque and the Voyager Golden Record, which were universal messages that could potentially be understood by any extraterrestrial intelligence that might find them. He spoke of the Earth, He spoke of the Heavens, the Men, Women, the Animals, and all creatures of Planet Earth! Far too many of us take our Planet for granted, our Leaders take our planet for granted, so who is it that speaks for Planet Earth... Well, it certainly was something that Astronomer Carl Sagan did for Planet Earth and for all of us...
I challenge you all to watch and listen to Carl Sagan as He speaks for Earth in a moving short video... He speaks quite eloquently, as I have heard no one else do so from this man who speaks of the "Citadel of the Stars"! Many of you will pass over this post and this video, but some will not. Carl Sagan speaks from the depth of his soul to us, yeah to all beings of Planet Earth.
We are one Planet, out of billions, but it is OUR planet and we humans around the globe (collectively) seem hell bent on destroying it and its many species of life... Carl Sagan was and still is, an inspiration to us all!
