A bit of advice for those still on active duty; be sure to report it now. I developed tinnitus while on active duty, but failed to ensure it was in my medical records. After I retired I filed for VA disability but could not show mine was service connected so was denied. Don't make the same mistake!

Keep filing for it until you find an examiner who will connect it to service. Doesn’t matter how long you’ve been out

SPC (Join to see) I Served on 2 Nuclear Cruisers, My "Office" on USS California CGN-36 was Just Forward of the Aft 5 Inch 54.. My "Rack" on USS Arkansas CGN-41 was Under the Forward SM-2 Launcher! I Served on 3 Security Alert Teams, Not as Much a Problem as it Should be by Now! Other Problems Outweigh It. I Still have the Hearing of a Navy/NSA/DIA Spook, Although I can't Hear the Whistle of High Power Transformers anymore! Not What it Once Was! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrPKJos3tA0
