"You can have a guy who proclaims himself to be a “devout” Catholic who seems to desperately love abortions and mutilating the genitals of children while passively embracing the hatred of Jews, or you can have a guy who may or may not have had sex with a woman who was attractive at the time and be able to afford groceries, gas and your rent or mortgage. I cannot stand Trump as a person and my checkbook cannot afford Biden. Finances tend to win over emotions.

This opinion is a lie when they claim "no one cares."
Millions of us DO care about the things this conman has done!

SFC Casey O'Mally MSG Stan Hutchison I hate to use OJ as an example but it fits. https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/question-civil-judgment-versus-criminal-conviction-28300.html
Feel free to quibble on a term, but guilty is guilty in my book. The fact that you have a hard time comprehending that is very disturbing.

What's the difference between a civil judgment and a criminal conviction?
A civil judgment is a lawsuit, usually for money. A criminal conviction is punishment brought by the state for violating the law.

Conviction MEANS something - and you used it intentionally to convey what that means. And then doubled down.
Even the link you just provided distinguishes between civil judgment and criminal conviction.
Trump has NOT been convicted of anything. Period. At least not yet.
And no, "guilty" is NOT the same as guilty. The standard of evidence in a civil trial is "preponderance of evidence" or "more likely than not.". It means that one side's story is more convincing than the other, not necessarily that it is the the proven truth.
That is RADICALLY different from an actual guilty verdict in criminal court. Which, again, your own link shows.
The entire reason they did a civil trial for Trump's business "fraud," IMHO, was because they KNEW they could not satisfy the requirements for a criminal conviction. Remember that what he was accused of doing WAS criminal. He was accused of committing bona fide crimes. And they went with a civil trial. Why is that, do you think? Is it because Letita James, who literally campaigned on "get Trump" wanted to go easy? Or is it because she KNEW she could not actually PROVE he did anything wrong? Which is more likely?
Do I think Trump is shady? Absolutely.
Do I think he is a top-level grifter and he has half the nation on the hook? You betcha.
Is he a pathological liar? All day, er'day.
Am I *ever* going to vote for him? Nope. Nuh Nuh. No way, never.
I DETEST the man. But you know what I hate even more? Leftists who are willing to lie about him just to bring him down.

SFC Casey O'Mally - I knew the moment you were mentioned as a Trump supporter that it would not age well. I will never get why we are labeled as these big Trump supporters when we advocate proper treatment under the law, regardless how big of an asshole the defendant is. I do not write against Biden because I love Trump, I truly believe Biden no longer has the mental capacity to be president and frankly I do not know who is running our government right now. I personally believe if Biden had ran against Trump in 2016 we would never have had a President Trump and no one would be talking about him in 2024. Democrats have almost as much responsibility for Trump as the GOP.
