MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - That was our "Piece" in bootcamp Brother Dale, the one we trained with. It was pure HELL doing the 16-count manual with them.

PO3 Edward Riddle - I was in the last Fort Ord cycle to train on the M14. Classes that started in Jan. '70 and later used the M16. The M1 Carbine was five or more pounds lighter than the M14 and used a .30-cal. slug compared to 7.62mm . . .

Loved the rifle, never liked the round, had two after market carbines, one was made by Saginaw.
