Senators unsure about House plan to boost troop pay, housing stipends

They certainly deserve it. However, I think we need to revisit the volunteer armed forces idea. It's basically unsustainable as you can never adequately reward those who serve. Moreover, the lack of universal service means only a tiny fragment of our population gets involved in our defense.
