The Navy has relieved six commanding officers so far this year. Three of those officers were fired after being arrested off-base for driving under the influence, Task & Purpose has confirmed."

The first sentence is true for society as well. The key is to make sure the information is not only timely but accurate.

The alcohol issue was clear when I was in. One of the Commanders I worked for clearly had a drinking problem even on the job and it wasn't addressed.

Such problems were almost never addressed while I was serving . . .
