The raid by Hamas against Israel under Netanyahu is similar to the terrorist attack by ISIS against Russia under Putin. Both leaders are more concerned with consolidating power than security of their people.

It seems that the same insanity that grips America is finding its way to Israel.

I can't even imagine such a demand being worthy of comment. It reminds me of those who argue that we should have negotiated with Hitler. We did, unsuccessfully, but put that aside. Look at the success of Ghandi and freeing India from British rule. Peaceful demonstrations work. Yes, they work when you're dealing with civilized people. Hitler was not civilized, nor is Hamas. They are a death cult. There is no middle ground for them and attempts to negotiate are nothing more than cries of the weak.
As sad as this sounds, as prejudicial as it is, Islam is not a religion of peace. They will accept only submission, total submission. They will only appear peaceful when faced with superior force, and our forbearance from annihilating them is seen by them as weakness.
They waited patiently and they got what they were waiting for, an America weakened by its loss of direction. Same for Putin.
