We look around us here on Planet Earth and everything seems larger than life... but wait a minute... where are we? Yes, that's right, we are on the 3rd Rock from our Sun...and it is 93-million miles away from us and light from our Sun takes 8-minutes to reach us at 186,000 miles per second or 300,000 Kilometres per second!... Our nearest galaxy is 4.3 Light years away and what is a light year? Oh yeah, it's the distance light travels in one Earth year!
(I highly recommend that you watch this on the largest screen you have available to you... Do not try to watch this on a smartphone... It's a waste of time!)
Having thought about all that, if you were aboard a starship 50-years from now and you took off from a huge farm or ranch or even a Starship Base and traveled off toward Proxima Centauri or some other distant galaxy, what would it look like to us?
This video does that, as you leave Earth and accelerate up to 99% of light speed, you eventually escape the Milky Way Galaxy on your way for a long long tip to your destination... All you see are distant specs of light which are a combination of galaxies star systems and a helluva lot more Universe objects in space... Your world then is the Starship you are on, heading for one of those shiny specs you see... How small you have just become... less than the size of a grain of sand on a beautiful beach it would seem... This is God's domain... and you're moving through it via the parsecs of space and time...
I hope you make it back, but I believe it will be a very long one-way journey and many generations will pass before this craft lands on some celestial object that will support human life...
God be with you...
I hope you enjoy this short, yet moving journey...
Kerry
