How easy is it for illegal immigrants to get fraudulent papers in New York City?
Apparently, it’s extremely easy.

According to a new video from the Heritage Oversight Project, the nonprofit organization La Jornada was caught on video illegally filling out residency documents for a man without requesting any form of identification from him.
In the video, an undercover journalist posing as an illegal immigrant obtains New York City residency papers after giving just a first and last name without any form of identification.
In a matter of minutes, staff at La Jornada give the undercover journalist all the papers he needs to obtain a government-issued ID and vote in New York City elections after 30 days of residency.
And of course, this is on the taxpayer’s dime. In 2023, Rep. Grace Meng, (D-NY), secured $250,000 in federal taxpayer dollars for La Jornada.
With government funding, these efforts have potentially allowed thousands of illegal immigrants to create fake identities and vote in American elections.
This violates the rule of law, makes our cities less safe, and increases the risk of voter fraud.
