The FDA issues an alert for 6 brands of cinnamon due to possibly containing lead

Who would have guessed that lead would be an issue in cinnamon before this? Not me

That is a concern with most herbs and spices. We are always warned to be careful about products from other nation, apparently grown in toxic soil. How about U.S.A.? Is it tested? There is toxicity from cloud seeing in the soil. And organic produce is said to have more heavy metals than non-organic because of the manure that is used. What does that say about the feed given to the critters? And/ or are theu able to effectively rid their systems of heavy metals. It's all connected . . . in some way or another. Yet there is repeated denial of over-population. That does not simply mean available land. It is also about the overburden of toxicity from industry and people - and what it does to all forms of life, directly and through food because of toxic soil, water, pesticides.
